Care

An Irish Medical Council-registered doctor issues every prescription in accordance with best clinical practice and national prescribing guidelines. All prescriptions are reviewed individually to ensure they are clinically appropriate, safe, and necessary for the condition being treated.

Patient Safety First

We only prescribe medication when we are fully confident it is safe and appropriate for you. If further information, tests, or an in-person assessment are required, our doctors will ask you to visit your primary GP.

No Prescription? No Charge.

If our doctor determines that a prescription is not suitable, your consultation fee will be fully refunded, no questions asked.

Limited Scope of Treatment

• smartscripts.ie provides private prescriptions only for the specific conditions we treat through our platform.
• We are not a replacement for your GP or emergency care.
• We do not prescribe for conditions that require in-person examination, ongoing monitoring, or controlled substances.

Prescription Handling & Pharmacy Policy

• We provide digital prescriptions only.
• All prescriptions are sent electronically via Healthmail to your selected Irish pharmacy.
• smartscripts.ie does not issue paper (hard copy) prescriptions

Pharmacy Selection

• Once a prescription has been delivered to your selected pharmacy, it is not possible to change pharmacy due to safety and tracking. 
• If you selected Pharmacy Delivery, smartscripts.ie will send your prescription to a licensed pharmacy within our network. That pharmacy will contact you directly to arrange payment and delivery of your medication.
• smartscripts.ie only provides the prescription. We have no involvement in the sale, pricing, payment, or delivery of medication; these are managed entirely by the dispensing pharmacy.

Refunds

Once a doctor has issued a prescription, the service is considered complete, and refunds cannot be offered, even if you later decide not to proceed.
